Greetings from Tom Bruce!

Thank you for your interest in our Sales and Display Garden located in Lexington (near Columbia), South Carolina.  Our plants are for sale during our annual open house dates or by appointment during the bloom season from mid May until July 1st.  

In 2013, we will be open from 8:00 until 3:00 on April 27th and May 4th for our Iris & Hosta Open House.  We will also be open from 8:00 until 3:00 on May 25th, June 1st, and June 8th for our Daylily Open House.

Our display and sales gardens feature large well -manicured perennial garden beds with daylilies, hostas, and irises in all price ranges.  Plants available for sale in 2013 are all available in pots to make selection and check out easy and timely.

Our garden was featured on the 2009 Lexington Master Gardener tour and was a tour garden during the 2011 AHS Region 15 summer meeting.  Many newer plants are moved every year from our hybridizing beds to the sales garden and offered at prices well below their national average price.

When visiting, our air conditioned garden building with its wide covered porch provides a welcome break from the sunny garden.  Restroom facilities are available.  The long paved driveway connects Barr Road to our large parking area with ample room for tour buses.  Please call ahead to arrange a  tour and to be sure we have adequate staff to assist with  your group’s tour and orders.

Next to our display garden are our hybridizing pavilion and seedling beds.  Plants in this area are not available for sale but you can tour the thousands of plants blooming for the first time or the select group of seedlings under final evaluation for possible future introduction and sale.

H. 'Sunny Attitude'

28"  M  5.5 inches   98% Double  Tet  Dormant. This soft yellow double with pink eyezone and green throat has three way branching scapes with 18 buds. This dormant is a good increaser and is fertile both ways.  $40.00 df

H. 'Talk About Hot'

26"  M  5.25"  98% Double  Tet  Sev. This Persimmon double with yellow tan highlights is a 98% double with good branching and bud count.  A garden favorite as is one of its parents Mose's Fire.  Fertile both ways. $50.00 df

H. 'Spring Forward'

27"  EM  6"  TET Sev. Flowers are fuchsia with a lavender watermark and a white gold edge.  A deep lime green throat is an added feature. Three way branching and 22 buds on 27" scapes.  Spring Forward is a good increaser and is fertile both ways. $50.00 df

H. 'T. Rex's Teeth'

31"  EM  6.75"  UF  Tet  Sev. The large magenta flowers have white edges and teeth on both the petals and sepals.  Fertile both ways and a good increaser. $50.00 df
